FCS Projects and Homework Due Dates

Assignments (Most Recent to Oldest)

AAll grades:  See google classroom for all enrichment activities starting the week of April 20th.  


6th GRADE 

-If you feel like you are behind, please come to my classroom as soon as you get to school in the morning at 7:30 or during study as soon as it starts at 10:02-10:22.  6th grade FCS is pass/fail so you need to complete your project for the quarter to be considered "passing". 

7th Grade(Periods  4 and 5)


3rd Quarter:

-7.4, 7.5: Remember to bring your egg babies home every night and back to school each morning.  If something happens while at home, please email me at nbrown@valleyviewsd.org ASAP and stop by to see me in the morning when you get to school.   This project is from today, Feb. 18th through Friday, Feb. 21st.

-7.4, 7.5:  Egg baby car seat supplies are due by Wednesday, February 12th.  You must bring in something that you will use to make your car seat in class.  Remember, you do not need to spend money on this project unless you want too. Empty containers, tissues, bubble wrap, cotton balls, etc. will work. A full list of suggestions can be found on the FCS Documents section.  If you have a hard container and need to make holes, you will need to do this at home with supervision from a parent/guardian.

**Remember, the egg baby project will be from Feb. 18th to Feb. 21st.  You will take your egg baby home every night and bring it back to school the next day to carry around from class to class.
  -7.4, 7.5:  Please turn in a signed allergy letter by Thursday, January 24th.   Allergy letters can by found in the FCS Documents section.
2nd Quarter:

7.4, 7.5:  Please remember we will be starting cooking Dec. 17th so be sure to bring hair ties to pull your hair back and no sweatshirts while cooking.  Get to class ASAP so we can start cooking!  Remember, if you owe me work you are not allowed to cook until the missing work is turned in.  If you do not have a signed allergy letter YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COOK.

-7.4, 7.5:  Make sure you have your egg baby car seats IN SCHOOL for Monday, Nov. 18th .  The egg baby project officially starts that day and lasts until Nov. 22nd.

-7.4, 7.5:  Egg baby car seat supplies are due by Friday, November 15th.  You must bring in something that you will use to make your car seat in class.  Remember, you do not need to spend money on this project unless you want too. 1st Quarter:

-7.4, 7.5: The egg baby project will be from Monday, Sept. 23rd to Friday, Sept. 27th.  You will take your egg baby home every night and bring it back to school the next day to carry around from class to class.  If you are in school, your egg baby MUST be in school also.  You will take it from class to class (during phys. ed. class you must either hire an egg sitter, leave your egg baby at day care in Ms. Brown's room, or have Mrs. Munley egg sit it.  Leaving it in your locker IS NOT ACCEPTABLE).   If you have any issues with the project while outside of school, please email or text my email at nbrown@valleyviewsd.org.  Please remember to include your name, what happened, and plan to stop by my classroom as soon as you get to school the following day.

8th Grade (Periods 2 and 6)


3rd Quarter:
8.6: Please turn in a signed allergy letter by Wednesday, February 19th.   Allergy letters can by found in the FCS Documents section.
8.6: Please bring in your sewing project money ($5) cash or check made out to cash by MondayFebruary 24th. Remember, if money is an issue PLEASE talk to me privately before Feb. 24th.

8.2: Please turn in a signed allergy letter by Thursday, January 24th.   Allergy letters can by found in the FCS Documents section.
8.2: Please bring in your sewing project money ($5) cash or check made out to cash by Friday, January 31st . 

2nd Quarter:
8.6: Please turn in a signed allergy letter by Tuesday, December 16th.  Allergy letters can by found in the FCS Documents section.
8.6: Please bring in your sewing project money ($5) cash or check made out to cash by January 3rd.



8.2:  Remember to bring your sewing project money in ($5 cash or check made out to CASH) by November 12th or you WILL NOT get your 14 inch pillow to sew.   If you do not bring in money or your own fabric you will get a ZERO for a homework grade (unless you've talked to me about it ).  You will STILL have to sew a pillow, but it will be scrap fabric of my choice.

8.6:  Remember to wear your hair back and no sweatshirts/long sleeves allowed while cooking from now (10/16 to 10/29).



-8.6:  Remember to bring your sewing project money in ($5 cash or check made out to CASH) by Monday, September 9th or you WILL NOT get your 14 inch pillow to sew.   If you do not bring in money or your own fabric you will get a ZERO for a homework grade (unless you've talked to me about it ).  You will STILL have to sew a pillow, but it will be scrap fabric of my choice.
