As a proud alum of Valley View School District, I could not be happier spending my professional career in the same district that helped shape me into the man I am today. I am very passionate about Civics as a course, as I believe it is a cornerstone of what our children will become as they march into adulthood. Functioning and participating in society, as well as understanding their relationships with government is an important lesson my students will learn as they progress through this school year. I assure you that I see my job as one in which I help these students discover where they fit on the political spectrum, rather than trying to place them where I would like to see them fall. I do my best to ensure they have access to multiple viewpoints, and that their experiences will give them a better answer to the question of "how do I feel about the world around me"?

On a personal level, I am married to another VV alum, and we proudly send both our sons to VV as well. This district and community mean the world to us, and we try to be active and caring members of it. I love sports of all sorts, and can often be found coaching, supporting, or talking about sports on any and all levels. From an entertainment standpoint, I love anything super hero related (DC), and especially related to Batman!
