6th grade classes are working on creating a Sketchbook cover design that is a type of self-portrait. The first drawing in sketchbooks will incorporate drawing skills and imagination. An introduction to Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance artists will follow.

8th grade classes are working on, Keep Your Eye On The Arts using oil pastel as the medium.
The next project will be a type of self-portrait, using letters and numbers, inspired by Futuristic artist, Charles Demuth. Knowledge of color theory and colored pencil techniques will add a dimensional quality to the final project.
